The Rising Tide Retreat in Minneapolis, Minnesota was one for the record books! It’s incredible to see how far this community has come from a blog post about community over competition back in 2015.
This year, our HoneyBook + Rising Tide team worked across two continents, four cities, and three time zones to turn this dream into a reality. The visionary behind the event, Kait Masters, poured her heart and soul into every detail—making this our best retreat ever.
Hosted at Paikka in St. Paul, planning by Jessica Wonders Events, gorgeous florals by Aster Wonders, hand-crafted signs from Masterspieces, and design support from Austyn Elizabeth.
Documenting the event, we had Olivia Reed doing event photography, GE CREATIVE rocking the head shot station, and Kemari Lyn Films capturing it all on film.
Keynoting the event, Arielle Estoria gave us chills. With poetry, music, and storytelling, she truly rocked our world.
We had the most extraordinary sponsors. Todd Watson + the team Showit went the extra mile—supporting our local chapters with websites, teaching us about building a strong web presence, and even stepping in to help with tech support among many other things. Christina Wagner from VISA taught us about small business advocacy and through her personal story inspired the room to never stop dreaming. A powerful talk from Chase Jarvis and CREATIVELIVE reminded us of the creator inside all of us and the importance of investing in community.
RTS leaders Shaunae Teske, Laylee Emadi, and Lashanta Green made us laugh, cry, and dig deep into how we can impact our local communities.
IT WAS A TRANSFORMATIONAL RETREAT.
I am grateful to every single leader who traveled to Minneapolis and set aside time from their daily lives to be a part of this event.
