Big Sur Wedding Inspiration

Big Sur. By far one of the most breathtaking views in the world. Even after traveling all through New Zealand, Big Sur remained at the top of my list for ‘epic views’ — and trust me, that’s saying something!

And similar to our Coastal California Shoot with Caitlin, this shoot was a completely spontaneous stop. We had already done our big styled shoot the day prior (and we were exhausted!), but as we rounded the green hillsides of the California Coast… all of us simultaneously felt the need to stop the car and shoot. So, we quickly got Katie ready and changed on the side of the Pacific Coast Highway and had the time of our lives.

I’ve honestly never felt so instantaneously inspired in my life. One minute we’re belting out Taylor Swift (laughing hysterically about something ridiculous) and the next, we’re shooting through ferns to obtain the perfect foreground blur… talking about bokeh and swooning as the light got softer with the fading sun.
