When Lindsey contacted me a few months ago about setting up an Aviation Inspired Session to celebrate her anniversary with her husband – my heart did a little jump for joy! I’ve photographed sessions everywhere from the docks of downtown Annapolis to the electrifying turf of Fedex Field – but never had I ventured to an airport for portraits!
Shortly after arriving for our session at Freeway Airport in Bowie, Maryland – a crack of lightning and some down-pouring rain forced us to reschedule not once, but twice… And just when were about to give up hope – our third attempt at a beautiful evening was a success!
To say that I’m in love with Lindsey & Tommy’s session is an understatement! It isn’t every day that you get to photograph a Navy Pilot and his sweetheart at one of the cutest airports in the state of Maryland! This duo was such a joy to work with and they had me laughing up until the very end!

I’d love to see an F/A18 Hornet with him being a naval aviator. But being a GA pilot myself, anything made of metal and wings is still love at first sight for me. Great session!!
