I want to preface today’s post with a giant request: Please forgive me for sluggish response times and overall scheduling chaos over the next few weeks! I’m in the busiest part of my season and have photographed a shoot or a wedding every single day for the last seven days (and six weddings straight over the last five weeks). And while that means that I have so many amazing shoots + weddings to share, it also means that I’ve been given double my normal workload lately and may be a tiny bit slower than usual with processing + responding to emails.
And these past few days have taken me all over this gorgeous region… From the romantic beaches on the Severn River to the urban skyline of Baltimore’s Harbor East and down to the classic charm of Washington, DC! I seriously feel like I’ve been producing some of my BEST work ever these past few months… and today’s weekend wrap-up is no exception!
IÂ remember photographing Amy & Ryan’s Engagement Session, their wedding, their firstborn portraits with little Maddie, then her younger sister, Julianna, and the list continues on! Every year that I have the opportunity to capture this family, I am reminded of the incredible privilege that I have as a photographer to watch families grow and document the lives of some truly extraordinary people!
I have been excitedly awaiting this engagement session for months now and even with a few raindrops, we managed to photograph one of my favorite Annapolis shoots, ever! I adore these two, their playful chemistry, and the friendship they have built ever since they started dating at Penn State! You’re going to fall in love with Brittany & Phil! They are so sweet!
On Friday, I met with Hannah and Mark in Harbor East + Fells Point in Baltimore! These two are such an amazing couple who made the trek to Baltimore from their home in Michigan to celebrate a weekend with family! Their session was a mix of classic-city and nautical tradition! I can’t wait to capture their romantic wedding in Jamaica this winter! More to come soon!
What started off as a rainy afternoon with a 100% Chance of Precip on Saturday, quickly turned into one of the most gorgeous wedding sunsets I’ve ever seen! And mid-way through Sheri & Tobin’s Reception, we grabbed a golf cart and zipped down the road to a big open field in the sun… it was absolutely breathtaking and the type of “once in a lifetime” moment that these two truly deserved! I can’t wait to share more from this gorgeous wedding on the blog this Wednesday!
Jennifer and Joshua are two truly extraordinary people! Feeling completely under the weather (and without a voice) yesterday, these two brought me a “feel better soon” care package in a cute little nautical box to their session! (So thoughtful! Ah!) We walked around Washington DC together, exploring a few of their favorite areas around the Mall, and capturing some truly incredible engagement pictures! I can’t wait to share more from this session soon!
Happy Monday, Friends!
And just a little reminder that I am completely out of the office today as I recover from getting sick this weekend… I’m in desperate need of a full day of rest! All emails + messages will be returned tomorrow!

I am totally with you. I feel like 100% overwhelmed with my current workload, but still somehow feel a fresh flow of creativity during every shoot or wedding. Maybe when we’re busier and shooting more, we’re even better photographers 🙂 Hoping you feel better soon and keep kicking butt!
