In the middle of wedding season, after half a dozen weekends of back to back weddings – Huey and I boarded a plane for Boston to spend a few days with our photographer friends while celebrating Mary’s birthday!
I had never been to Nantucket and this enchanting little island was even more dreamy than I had imagined. Cobblestone streets twisted their way along the coastline as lighthouses speckled the shore. We spent one evening sailing around the island and another with our jeeps on the beach! It felt incredible to breath in the fresh air and feel the sunshine on my skin after so many weeks of living behind a computer screen. My favorite part of the entire trip was the final dinner where the girls took over one half of the table and the boys took the other. We discussed our vulnerabilities, shared our struggles, teared up (okay, ugly-cried), and we had one of the most incredible conversations that I’ve ever been a part of. Rarely do you hear such honest discourse about friendship and perseverance between female entrepreneurs.
Running a business is tough. Having friends to share your struggles and celebrate your successes makes it so much easier. Thank you Mary for inviting us and organizing such an incredible trip! It so incredibly life-giving!

Natalie, these images are simply gorgeous. You captured Nantucket in a way that made me feel like I was there walking around with you – I love how you tell stories with your images! I can only imagine that the Annapolis native in you wanted to stay forever.
Nantucket looks so pretty and charming. (as all places by the sea typically do in New England) It’s one of our next places to hopefully visit!! Definitely looks like the trip was amazing.
Ahhh so dreamy as always! Love the one of Katelyn and Michael walking away from the lighthouse. I was particularly bummed to miss this year since you were going! One of these days we’ll be in the same city at the same time and actually get to hang out 🙂
