The Hawaiian Islands are a travelers paradise. Water in every shade of blue imaginable. Volcanoes reaching to the heavens and lush green forests as far as the eye can see. Palm trees swaying in the breeze and colorful fish swimming beneath the coral reef. From the very first moment we landed, I couldn’t stop gawking at the beauty of this enchanting oasis.
On Oahu, we stayed on the Marine Base with our lovely hosts Lauren + Aaron as we explored the island and photographed several shoots during our stay! Our first day, we went snorkeling in Hanauma Bay before meeting my sweet bride Malia for lunch at Cinnamon’s in Kailua. (I photographed Malia’s Destination Wedding in 2013!) On our second day in Oahu, we made the trip over to Honolulu to photograph Lauren Brenner for an upcoming Glitter Guide feature and explored a DIY Succulent Bar called Paiko! We took the very (VERY) out of the way drive back through the Dole Plantation and the North Shore before photographing an Oahu Anniversary Session for our sweet hosts!
From there, we flew to Maui and had the most incredible Editorial Shoot for an incredible boutique wedding planner called, Opihi Love. We watched the sunrise from the summit of the HaleakalÄ Volcano and went snorkeling above the submerged Molokini Crater! I also had an amazing time photographing Kaitlin + Brooke’s Lifestyle Portraits on a volcanic rock beach on our last night in Kihei before we set our sights on New Zealand!
