It has taken me nearly a month to publish my little behind the scenes recap (I know, I know! I’m a little behind on blogging lately!) – but I’m thrilled to be sharing a little behind the scenes look at The Bayside Workshop and thank a few of the incredible folks who made this day such a success!
We had been hoping and praying for beautiful weather, but we were confronted with down pouring rains all day long. Somehow, the amazing ladies behind the scenes made the day beautiful despite the weather and we so grateful for all of their hard work! I seriously don’t know how they did it and the only tell tale sign of the horrible rain was my frizzy hair that went from perfectly straightened into a wavy mess by the end of the styled shoot! Hah!
A few of my favorite moments: The Cider Mimosas sponsored by One Hope Wine to get the day started on a bubbly note + the gorgeous gift bags created by Marigold & Grey! Â And similar to the last workshop, Krista and I alternated teaching on our favorite topics while taking questions along the way!
I had to squeeze a sneak peek in there somewhere… right? Ah! So excited to share more soon!
For the shooting portion of the day, Krista rocked the Detail Styling Bar where attendees could style up the invitation with details like jewelry, bow ties, shoes, and more. Simultaneously, I taught a quick posing workflow and walked through how I talk to my couples to make them feel at ease! With the girls broken into groups of three, it was nice to have a more intimate setting to teach the more technical aspects of photography and each girl had a minute to pose our sweet couple however they liked!
And thank you Caroline & Lauren for capturing some of these behind the scenes shots while we were teaching!
Our Lovely Styled Shoot Vendors:
Design: Caitlin & Julie of Kruse and Vieira Events | Florals: Petal and Print | Calligraphy – Poppy and Scooter | Bridal Boutique – Garnish Boutique | Gown Designer – Hayley Paige | Makeup: Kelley Unthank | Hair: Maricel Unthank | Rentals: Something Vintage | Wine: One Hope Wine
And I hope you’re excited to see more of the styled shoot in the coming months! The images are currently being submitted for publication and once they get featured later on this winter & early this spring – we’ll be sharing more on our personal blogs! Ah! I can’t wait to reveal the gorgeous details and beautiful couple we photographed in November! It was pouring down rain, but we captured some of my favorite photographs to date!
We only have a few seats left for the Spring Workshop before we’re officially closing registration and if we host another event, it won’t be until the end of next year! (We’d love to do more, but we are truthfully so busy running our businesses that we cannot host more than two workshops per year at this time!) – And did I mention that we’ve added another DAY to the event? Yep. An extra day, an extra shoot, more material, and open conversation. Consider it Bayside Workshop 2.0 – Yay!
