Weekend Wrap-up

I truly cannot believe that it’s the first day of September. Every single year, I’m overwhelmed by how quickly the summer passes by and now August is gone! I’m already anticipating the chill of autumn and all of the amazing pumpkin-flavored, sweater-wearing perks that come with it!

Last week, I celebrated a big birthday and I’m so grateful for a few days of relaxation + fun with my family! I also got the amazing news that I won the What’s Up? Weddings Readers Poll and tasted my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season! Our Workshop Announcement on Tuesday was followed by twenty seats sold on the very first day! Ahhh! I can’t wait to meet all of these incredible photographers in November!

And, just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, this weekend proved to be equally as amazing! I photographed not one, but TWO gorgeous weddings around Annapolis starting with these two sweethearts that I’ve known since my days in high school!

Kelsie & Daniel’s Wedding | St. Mary’s Church + Celebrations at the Bay

Kelsie and Dan’s wedding on Friday was truly incredible! We started the day with a beautiful Catholic Ceremony at St. Mary’s Church in Annapolis before zipping downtown for some brief pictures and heading over to Celebrations at the Bay for a romantic Chesapeake Reception! I am so excited to share more from this special day with all of you tomorrow! Yay!

Ashley & Bill’s Wedding | Oxon Hill Manor

Yesterday, I had the incredible honor of photographing Ashley & Bill’s Wedding at Oxon Hill Manor! I absolutely loved seeing their wedding dream come to life, working alongside two of my favorite teams in the area: Elle Ellinghaus Designs + Clickspark! You are going to fall in love with these newlyweds… oh my goodness!
