Happy Monday, Everyone! This weekend was a beautiful whirlwind of photography + meetings, leaving me a bit exhausted this morning – but ready to get the week underway! I have some exciting travel announcements to make in the coming days as well, so stay tuned!
On Friday: The Pipkin Family
With my crazy wedding + engagement schedule, it’s very rare that I’m able to photograph family sessions and the vast majority I refer out to my talented local friends who specialize in portraiture! But when my cousin Stacey asked if I would photograph her adorable family – How could I say no? At sunrise on Friday (before a long afternoon of meetings), we met me by the Bayside and I chased around these two little cuties for an hour!
I’m learning that I love family sessions when they are less posed, more genuine, and when we just let the kids be themselves… Ah! I may have to begin accepting family sessions again this autumn! If I can carve out a few weekdays and there is interest – I would love to make it happen!
On Saturday: Julie & Jason’s Wedding | Historic Kent Manor Inn
On Saturday, I photographed a beautiful wedding at the Historic Kent Manor Inn for Julie and Jason! It was an absolutely incredible day filled with laughter, tender moments, a few tears, and quite a bit of dancing! I am so excited to share more with you on the blog later on this week!

Just beautiful!!
Hi Natalie!
You do such BEAUTIFUL work! The photos of the children are SO crisp and clear – what would you attribute that to? Is it the lens you’re using? Manual or auto-focus? Lighting? Of course it’s a combination of all those things, but in your career so far what have you found is the key component? Thanks for sharing!

Jaimie – You’re so sweet! Thank you! I use a variety of lenses, automatic focus, and have mastered the quality of light that I like to create soft yet natural images! Be sure to check out the Photographer’s FAQ Section of my site for more info!
Beautiful smiles! Great captures!
