Weekend Wrap-up

Happy Monday! I know that most of the general public dread Monday mornings… but I love them… For wedding photographers, Mondays represent a weekend of hard work and travel complete. I’m generally exhausted and a bit sore, but I get to rest in the office with gorgeous images to edit and the option to start the week wearing yoga pants… which, lets be real, is pretty much the best thing ever!

This weekend marked my nineth wedding of the year and my seventh consecutive wedding with these two amazing young women. I wanted to start off today’s post by expressing my gratitude for Maddie and Kate. They work so hard to assist me in giving my couples an incredible experience on the wedding day and they rarely get the recognition that they deserve!

Anyone who has ever worked as a second shooter (or assistant) knows what an incredible role they have to play on the wedding day. I’m so grateful to call them my friends and ‘teammates’ for most of my weddings this year! I also want to congratulate Kate as she prepares to graduate from UMBC this month AND congratulate Maddie on transferring to Towson University. I adore these girls so much and feel so blessed to have them as a part of the Natalie Franke Photography Family for the 2014 season!

Chris & Jenna’s Wedding | The Oaks

Just wait until Wednesday… Oh, just wait! You are going to fall in love with Chris + Jenna’s gorgeous wedding at The Oaks Waterfront Inn. These two are the epitome of what it means to be in love. Their wedding was nothing short of extraordinary and we spent the entire hour-long drive home talking about how much we simply ADORED these two! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Martins! I can’t wait to share more from your special day!

Marilyn & Keith’s Engagement Session

On Sunday, I drove over to the Magothy River to photograph Marilyn & Keith’s Engagement Pictures! I have known Marilyn since our Basketball Days together in high school and having the opportunity to be her wedding photographer is such an honor! In a word – Marilyn is radiant. She brings so much joy and light to everyone around her… and you can tell by the way the way that Keith looks at her, the way these two laugh & smile when they are together, that it’s truly a match made in heaven. I’m so happy for these two & I can’t wait to share more from their session on Thursday!
