Legally Wed | Autumn Annapolis Courthouse Wedding

Tears brimmed at the corners of his eyes as he held tight to his partner of almost twenty years. Standing on the dock, listening to the sound of waves softly lapping against the pier, Joel looked down to see Vince holding tightly to his hand. Two hands, fingers intertwined, that have weathered many storms and overcome many obstacles in the past eighteen years. He couldn’t imagine loving anyone more than he loves Vince… And on this chilly October morning, he couldn’t believe that he would finally get to marry his best friend.

I am incredibly excited to be sharing not one, but TWO, gorgeous weddings today! Joel and Vince, along with their close friends from Pennsylvania – Mark and Chris (who made the trip to Maryland for this special occasion), married legally in the Annapolis Courthouse last week. To photograph weddings for couples like Joel + Vince and Mark + Chris, those unconditional and unrelenting love stories that span decades, is truly the ultimate honor. When someone is  tearfully excited at the thought of marrying their best friend after twenty years together, it inspires me to believe in the power of love.
