I cannot think of any other point in my life where things have changed so drastically and in such a short amount of time! I graduated from college, moved back home from Philadelphia, bought a new car, moved from my childhood home to a little coastal cottage with my fiance, and we officially became doggy-parents when I brought my dog Sophie over to live with us.
And amidst all of the change were a few crazy moments as we lost electricity for 5 days after the derecho and went a total of four and a half weeks without Internet or Cable… which any of my fellow photographers and small business owners out there can easily understand the how stressful that would be! The added hours of work required to still run a business without the ability to simply upload data, answer emails, blog or do ANYTHING online as you once did is truly overwhelming!
I’m still quite behind with my workflow, but as of yesterday… we officially have internet again! So the next two weeks will be spent in hyper-speed getting as much work done as possible and without the added hours of transferring data to a laptop and finding the closest Wifi Source to borrow for a few hours!
Once we get all of our boxes emptied and our house put together, I promise to do a post showing more our our sweet little home – but for now, I wanted to share a tiny glimpse into my new favorite place on earth… The place where I will be marrying my best friend in a few months, where we’ll be living for this short stop on our lifelong journey together, and where I know there are many memories to be made!
