The McCue Family | Annapolis Family Portrait Photographer

There is a stereotypical notion that family portraiture is somehow inherently stiff and traditional. Many people forgo family sessions because they worry about feeling uncomfortable in front of the camera – but today’s shoot is proof to all the nonbelievers that family portraits can be fun!

When I photograph families, I try to make the shoot feel more like a lifestyle session than a posed portrait. Capturing a family’s personality is my main goal and I promise that we also laugh a lot along the way!

When the lovely McCue family met me downtown Annapolis for their family session there was almost constant laughter and genuine smiles! They are an absolute blast to work with and I had so much fun getting to capture this afternoon in their lives! We ended the shoot in an open field at Quiet Waters Park just as the sun was setting behind the trees – The light was truly spectacular!
