On one of the most severe weather days of the year, when tornadoes touched down across the state and all the news could talk about where the storms rumbling across the MidAtlantic – a beautiful family farm was preparing for a highly anticipated wedding. Around 10am my phone started to ring and it was Bridget, “We’re going for the rain plan!” she said and the outdoor farm wedding quickly became a front porch ceremony surrounded by their dearest friends and family.
We were blessed with thirty minutes between storms when the rain slowly stopped and the sky remained calm. Thirty beautiful overcast minutes along the fields where Matt grew up and around the pond behind the family home! And with that short window of opportunity we captured some of my favorite wedding day portraits ever!
Not wind, not rain, not even tornadoes can stop love… Especially a love as strong as Bridget & Matt’s! Since it’s good luck to have rain on your wedding day, we’re sure that Bridget and Matt will have more luck and love than any of us could ask for!
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Jones! There are so many more images to come!
