As we packed our bags for United, I casually asked Katie if she would be interested in bringing her wedding dress with her to the conference… And it didn’t take more than a second for a gorgeous gown to get packed into the car and driven up the Pacific Coast Highway to Santa Barbara!
We had such an amazing time running the beach at sunset with Katie in her dress! The term ‘trash the dress’ is often used to describe post-wedding portrait sessions, but I’ve never loved this term. It makes it sound like you’re destroying something beautiful… when I’ve always believed that you’re celebrating the dress you wore when you married your best friend.
So, I decided that calling her shoot a ‘Rock the Dress Session’ was a little more fitting! Don’t you agree?
