There is something truly breathtaking about west coast light. And even through a soft string of clouds on the horizon, this Santa Barbara sunrise was absolutely perfect for seaside portraits along the Pacific.
One lovely morning last week, Abby met me on the beach. Wearing her iconic tulle skirt and with unraveling curls, she twirled along the sand. For a coastal-obsessed photographer, I couldn’t have dreamt up a more inspiring mini session. Thank you Abby for waking up with the sunrise to model in front of my camera!

These are beautiful photos of my beautiful granddaughter. Thank you for sharing them. The skirt is one she made with my help and I was so happy to see it in these pictures. I am so proud of Abby, not just for her obvious beauty but for the sweet, loving young woman she has become.
